Romans 1:5

Through whom we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations for his name among whom you also are the called of Jesus Christ.

We can view this verse in two ways; first By Whom can refer to the Holy Spirit through whom we receive all grace, apostleship, strength, power among other gifts given to us by God. The Holy Spirit was sent to us by God after the ascension of Jesus Christ to help us and everything we accomplish in our Christian journey is guided by the Holy Spirit.

By Whom can also refer to Jesus Christ who has grace, truth and gifts in abundance. Jesus Christ gives these gifts to men as he see's fit so that they can continue with the work he started.

It's a favour, or, it's in accordance to grace that we have been called to be apostles of Jesus Christ. Grace might style special state of grace in career, justification, pardon, and adoption, and religious ceremony, that was received in common with different saints, associate degreed is totally necessary to an apostle, and to any normal minister of the word; or the philosophical system of grace, that they received from Christ, and distributed to others; or rather the gifts of grace, and also the varied measures therefrom, that they received from their ascended Lord and King, by that they were volumed for position, that is, the work and workplace of apostles; to that they were referred to as by Christ, and from whom they received a commission to execute it.
apostle takes in others sides himself, and says, "we have received"; part for the sake of modesty, and part to stay up his equal title with others to the present office; and since this is often had in a very means of receiving, that supposes giving, and excludes boast, it obliges to form use of all grace and gifts to the glory of Christ, by whom they're received. the top that they received such associate workplace, and beauty to suit them for it, was, "for obedience to religion|the religion}"; that men may be brought by the ministry of the word to conform the faith, Christ the article of faith; to taste his morality, and therefore the means of salvation by him, and to be subject to his ordinances or to conform the school of thought of religion, that isn't barely to listen to it, and notionally receive it, however to embrace it warmly by religion, and retain it, con to a disbelief and contempt of it; and that is that the finish and style of the Gospel assist to bring persons to, Moreover, by
or "obedience of faith", because it is also rendered, is also meant the grace of religion, attended with evangelical obedience; for obedience, justly performed, is simply that that is by religion, and is derived from it. currently grace and spot were received, so as to be exercised not in Judea only, to which the first commission of apostleship was limited, but in all the nations of the world, as the commission renewed by Christ after his resurrection ordered; and that some among all nations of the earth might, by the power of divine grace accompanying the word, be brought to faith and obedience: and all this, the qualifications for the office, the due exercise of it in all the world, and the success that attended it, were
for the honour and glory of Christ, in whose name they went, and that they bore and carried among the Gentiles, out of whom he was happy "to take nation for his name"
